Your Listings Are Good. Nobody Can Find Them.
For Etsy and Shopify sellers who make things worth buying — and watch them sit on page 14.
There is a quiet math running on every listing you publish.
If your title doesn't contain the words buyers actually type, your listing never appears in front of them. If your tags are guesswork, the algorithm shrugs and moves on. If your description reads like a spec sheet, the few visitors who do arrive don't buy.
This is not a talent problem. You can take better photos. You can improve the product. But a brilliant product with a title like "Beautiful Handmade Necklace for Her" is, to the search engine, a blank page. Nobody searches for "beautiful." Everybody searches for specifics — and whoever matches those specifics first wins the click.
The three places listings die
The title is invisible. Most sellers write titles for people. But people never see the title until the algorithm decides it deserves to be seen. Etsy gives you 140 characters; Shopify gives you the whole search bar. Almost everyone spends those characters on decoration ("stunning," "unique," "perfect gift") instead of keywords. The title that ranks is not poetic. It is precise.
The tags are a coin flip. Thirteen tags on Etsy, and the difference between tag 7 being "gift for mom" or a long-tail phrase a real buyer typed is the difference between a search result and a void. Most sellers fill tags once, at upload, and never touch them again. Meanwhile the search language of their niche moves on without them.
The description doesn't close. You finally got a visitor. And they land on three sentences of material specs and shipping policy. Descriptions don't need to be long. They need to do one job: take the visitor who already clicked and give them a reason to believe this listing is exactly what they were looking for. Most don't.
These are not three separate problems. They are one problem wearing three costumes: your listing is not speaking the language the marketplace searches in. Fix the language, and the same product starts showing up in front of people who were already looking for it.
How we found this
We built a set of prompts that rewrite listings in the language buyers actually search — SEO titles, all 13 tags, and descriptions that sell — from real seller listings, tested against what the Etsy and Shopify search bars return. Not theory. Titles you can paste, tags you can copy, descriptions that read like the listing was written by someone who sells.
You don't need to trust any of that. You can feel it in ten minutes.
Where you can start tonight — free
We packaged the three core prompts as a free starter kit: (1) the SEO-title prompt, (2) the 13-tags prompt, (3) the listing-description prompt. Take any one of your listings, run it through the three prompts, and compare the before and after in the search results.
When you send it, we'll reply with the three prompts — free, no strings attached.
One more thing, and it matters more than the prompts: when you request them, tell us your TWO biggest questions about getting your listings found. What are you guessing at? What have you tried that didn't move the needle? Your answers shape everything we send you next.
